Abstract

Abstract In this article it is argued that the notion of a ‘diverse workforce’ extends beyond our understandings about the different cultural and linguistic backgrounds, the gender identity or the sexual orientation of individual staff members; it also considers the increasingly diverse skills required by library and information professionals. The work undertaken in the Australian Professional Pathways project is discussed.
