Abstract

This chapter focuses on how professional development can impact a teacher’s practice and how factors at school may enable or restrict professional development. The professional development journeys of three Singapore physical education teachers are shared to help readers relate better to the theories referenced in this chapter. The three journeys, though different, have enabled each of these teachers to become successful in their careers. Throughout the chapter, readers are invited to reflect on the content covered to help them review their own professional journey and how they might apply the learning to their own practice and continue to develop into the physical education teacher they aim to be.
