Abstract

The article presents the results of a study devoted to identifying the dependence of emotional burnout syndrome and maladaptive coping strategies in young doctors who worked in specialized hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020–2021. An experimental psychological study was conducted, in which 40 young specialists of various medical specialties from 24 to 30 years old took part using the Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire (Maslach Burnout Inventory, MVI) and E. Heim’s coping reaction techniques. As a result of the study, it was found that the majority of young professionals are characterized by the presence of emotional burnout syndrome, the frequency of occurrence of maladaptive coping strategies in the group of people with this syndrome is significantly higher.
