Abstract

Twelve lactating crossbred cows, similar in size and production, were distributed in a completely randomized design, being treated with Brachiaria decumbens and Panicum maximum grasses, mixed at a rate 66% — 34% respectively, diferenciated by: treatment A) nitrogen fertilized -100 kg N/ha; treatment B) without fertilization. The grasses were continuously grazed, and all treatments had 3,3 cows/ha. Fat connected milk productions by cow day and daily weight losses were respectivelly: A) 9,9 kg and -0,355 kg/day and B) 9,0 kg and -0,326 kg/day. There were none statistical differences between treatments, during the experimental period of 70 days.
