Productivity Analysis on Black Tea Processing Process Using Objective Matrix (OMAX) Method at PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII Kebun Pasirmalang

Abstract

PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII Pasirmalang (PTPN VIII) is one of the tea processing industries that has successfully become a black tea powder stakeholder. The high demand did not cause the achievement of tea processing results to increase. In fact, the achievement of product output in 2020 was always below the production target. The pandemic conditions at that time also affected the activities of black tea processing. The company has not conducted further analysis on what factors cause unstable production. Therefore, it is necessary to measure productivity in production to see the company's performance. The method used is the Objective Matrix (OMAX) method by identifying the company's performance value with various input factors used. The productivity calculation focuses on 3 inputs, namely raw materials, electrical energy, and labor. The results of measuring productivity in the production process using the OMAX method show that during 2020 the highest occurred in December 2020 and the lowest achievement in February 2020.
