Abstract
Single-cell protein (SCP) and cellulase production byAspergillus niger AS-101, grown on alkalitreated corn cobs, was studied under various cultural conditions. The maximum yields of SCP and cellulase, under solid-state fermentation were obtained when the culture was incubated at pH 5.5 for 18 d at 30°C with 12% substrate.
