Abstract
Fraction of H(2s) atoms in neutral hydrogen beams produced by passage of proton beams through a thin potassium vapor has been determined for proton energies between 0.4 and 3.0 keV by using H − formation from H(1s) atoms in the second potassium vapor. It exhibits energy dependence similar to that obtained in cesium vapor.
