Abstract
The process developed for the production of immersion nozzles and stopper-blocks for continuous ingot casting, including the preparation of corundum-graphite compounds, isostatic pressing of the articles with preliminary vibrovacuum densification (or vibration compaction and evacuation), glazing of the green articles, and firing, will guarantee the production of articles with a high resistance in service during the casting of various steel grades.
