Abstract
A technique for obtaining ablated CeO2 particles of nanodispersed composition has been developed. With the help of transmission electron microscopy and small-angle X-ray scattering diffractometry, it was found that the limiting particle size in a colloidal solution does not exceed 30 nm. It was established by spectroscopy of characteristic electron energy losses that the content of defects in oxygen vacancies increases with decreasing sizes of ablated nanoparticles.
