Production and neutralization of negative ions and beams (Report on the 5th International Symposium, Upton, NY, USA, 30 October – 3 November 1989)

Abstract

Over the past decade, the importance of the production, extraction and neutralization of negative ion beams has grown greatly. This was recorded in the proceedings of the triennial Brookhaven symposia since 1977, which were a major focus for discussion of this field. The most recent meeting in this series was from 30 October to 3 November 1989. This review presents the major highlights of this meeting.
