Abstract
Renewable or alternative energy is a criterion for international progress in investing its natural resources, especially wind speed. Since the uses of wind are witnessing a wide spread, it has become necessary to work on calculating the rate of wind energy density because it is a criterion that determines the extent to which wind turbines are used or installed. The researcher depends on a comparison between two areas with different classification; where Al-Mothennah governorate enjoys a large quantity of winds, while Wasit governorate is experiencing lower rates than its counterpart in Al-Semawah station.
