Abstract
The dielectric constant of zirconium phosphates were measured. A BN-coated Nicalon SiC fiber/Zr2P2O9 and an uncoated HVR Nicalon cloth/ZrP2O7 composite were fabricated. Mechanical properties were measured. Processing and mechanical properties were correlated with the microstructure of the composites. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were used to characterized the composites.
