Abstract
This study addresses the settings of process mean and variance for an uniform quality characteristic. Assume that the process mean is equal or not equal to the specification center of product and the process variance is reduced by 1/k times. One needs to determine the parameter limits of new uniform quality characteristic with the above property. The numerical example will be provided for illustration.
