Abstract

The twenty-fifth annual meeting of the Southwestern Branch of the Entomological Society of America was held at Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, jointly with the Sociedad Mexicana de Entomologia and the Pacific Branch on April 27–21, 1977. The Southwestern Branch registration included 138 members, 1 emeritus member, 16 students, 19 nonmembers, and 80 wives, dependents, and friends for a total of 254. The inaugural session was held on April 18, and the President of each Society presented opening remarks. The opening speakers were Ricardo Coronado Padilla, Director Gral. Sanidad Vegetal, Mexico; Dr. Paul DeBach, University of California at Riverside; and L. A. Falcon, University of California at Berkeley.
