Abstract

Web Intelligence focuses on scientific research and applications by jointly using Artificial Intelligence (AI) (e.g., knowledge representation, planning, knowledge discovery and data mining, intelligent agents, and social network intelligence) and advanced Information Technology (IT) (e.g., wireless networks, ubiquitous devices, social networks, semantic Web, wisdom Web, big data mining, green computing, and data/knowledge grids) for the next generation of Web empowered products, systems, services, and activities. The topics of Web Intelligence (WI) have received increasing interest in the past years and comprise many exciting fields, such as collective intelligence, data science, human-centric computing, knowledge management, and network science. WI 2017 provides leading research that both deepens the understanding of computational, logical, cognitive, physical as well as business and social foundations of the future Web, and contributes to the development and application of intelligent technologies.
