Abstract

The article attempts to outline the current state of the conflict between the state and the individual as a bearer of a unique religious experience. With the help of references to the judicial practice of national courts and international judicial bodies, attention is focused on the points of confrontation between the natural human right to freedom of religion and the positive rights of the citizen, the fulfillment of which is required by the state.
