Abstract

ABSTRACTThere are a considerable number of unused or underused documentary sources that are available for investigating the ethnohistory of the Apache and Comanche, as well as other Native Americans in the area of central northern Mexico during the Spanish and Mexican periods. Some of the possibilities for research and the major sources are discussed.
