Abstract

Active immunization with diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus (D.P.T.) vaccines is one of the most important public health measures for control of these communicable diseases. In spite of many years’ usage of these vaccines, involving millions of people, a number of problems still exist. These are particularly great in developing countries like India, where diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus infections are still rampant, chiefly due to economic constraints. The object of this study is to highlight the problems on the basis of our experience in the manufacture and distribution of these vaccines over the past 18 years.KeywordsTetanus ToxoidPertussis VaccineImmunization ScheduleDiphtheria ToxoidMass ImmunizationThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
