Abstract

Abstract:At present, China’s vocational education system is undergoing a transition process from growing in size to improving in quality. Teacher and teaching force issues are a bottleneck and critical factor that will determine whether the transformation will be successful. The real-world problems of the number, deployment, capacity, and training systems for vocational teachers are the most direct obstacle to the reform and growth of vocational education. Optimizing faculty deployment, increasing the overall capacity of teachers, and providing appropriate support are key issues. To this end, in recent years the Chinese government has made major investments, formulated policies, and set up special projects with a view to fundamentally resolving the problems.
