Abstract

The article analyzes the results of an expert survey and analysis of documents on the issues of multilingual education in Tatarstan. According to the results of the expert survey, when selecting teachers for schools that implement multilingual education, the most significant are the candidate's knowledge of a foreign and / or national language of teaching, as well as high qualifications in the subject area. There are a number of difficulties in the methodological support of multilingual / bilingual education in particular. Thus, many teaching aids require serious improvement. There is also a need to improve the legal and regulatory framework for multilingual education. The analysis of documents carried out in the course of the study showed that there are gaps in the documentation support of the studied educational organizations, starting from the constituent documents. Thus, polylingual / bilingual education in the Republic of Tatarstan is at the stage of institutional formation and development and is experiencing difficulties, the solution of which is possible with the active participation of the higher education system and competent educational, methodological and documentation support.
