Abstract

The Republic of Kazakhstan is an agrarian industrial republic, where agriculture is the sphere of vital activity of the majority of the population. Almost 44% of the population lives in the village today, and the well-being of all Kazakhstanis depends on the degree of development of agriculture. The development of agriculture in the West Kazakhstan Region is aimed at the production of grain and livestock products. Along with grain, the region grows oilseeds, cereals, potatoes, vegetables, melons and fruits. For the development of grain production, the West Kazakhstan Region has all the necessary land resources and sown areas. The main branches of animal husbandry are cattle breeding and sheep breeding. Despite the fact that the region has great potential for the development of agriculture and this should be favored by natural and climatic conditions, as well as agricultural areas, there are a number of problems. Most of the livestock products in the West Kazakhstan region are produced in households. Perhaps this is the reason for such problems as the low genetic potential of animals and, therefore, low productivity, the farms of the region do not use the modern technologies of keeping and feeding animals, as well as technologies that ensure the productivity and quality of products, and the potential of natural pastures is also not used.
