Abstract
It is important that the reform on medical education focuses on general practice education in China in the future. General practitioners are mainly trained in medical institutions. And faculty devel-opment is a basic program in general practice education. In this paper, current existing problems are ana-lyzed about faculty development of medical institutions in our country, and advice and countermeasures are given aiming at how to improve qualities of faculty, to optimize structure of faculty team, to establish ac-crediting standards and assessing systems, and to strengthen training teachers.
