Abstract
It is the load on the crane beam and the conditions of the welding that influence the stress round about the support crack between the web and the upper flange of a welded steel crane beam. Using finite element analysis software ANSYS, the stress of the welded steel crane-girders subjected to different eccentric wheel loads were analyzed. Cycles of eccentric wheel loads is the main reason to lead to the support crack appear. Some measures are put forward based on the discussion.
