Abstract
A CSA Subcommittee has produced a draft proposal for a revision of the part of Standard C22.3 No.1 on Overhead Systems that is focussed on 230 kV and Above. The recommended procedures introduce probability based techniques in an effort to incorporate the major dispersions that can influence the risk of failure of transmission lines; The climatic loads are selected on a Return Period Storm basis.
