Abstract

The dynamical analysis of random vehicle vibrations requires an integrated investigation of guideway roughness, nonlinear vehicle dynamics and human sensation to vibration exposure. The stochastic analysis of the total system is discussed in the frequency domain and the time domain. Nonlinearities are considered by statistical linearization techniques. Then, the variances of wheel load variation, car body acceleration and human sensation are determined by spectral density analysis as well as by covariance analysis.
