Abstract
El presente artículo investiga el recorrido literario del mito de Siyawash, uno de los más conocidos de Irán y Asia Central, partiendo del Shahnamé de Ferdousí, pasando por el Sendbadnamé persa y aterrizando finalmente en el Sendebar medieval castellano. El estudio busca destacar cómo la estructura relacionada con dicho mito se repite en las nombradas obras, y tras un viaje de Oriente a Occidente, se retoma en el cuento marco de uno de los conjuntos cuentísticos más importantes de la herencia hispana.
