Abstract

This article introduces the progressive development of French private security and analyzes the accelerated changes in its roles since the 2015 Paris Attacks. It describes the evolution of private security’s legal framework and the operational framework supporting it. This sector’s structuring needs and means are then discussed. This development indicates a major change in the French model: the concept of Security is being redefined.
