Abstract

We prove that if ( A , a _ ) (A,\underline {a}) is a Hensel couple and G G is an affine, smooth group scheme over A A then H e t 1 ( A , G ) = H e t 1 ( A / a _ , G / a _ G ) H_{\mathrm {et}}^1 (A, G) = H_{\mathrm {et}}^1 (A/\underline {a}, G/\underline {a} G) .
