Abstract

(Abstracted from Am J Obstet Gynecol 2021; doi: 10.1016/j.ajog.2021.09.010) The site of origin of the most common ovarian cancer subtype—high-grade serous—is the fallopian tube epithelium. Accumulating evidence has clearly demonstrated that surgical removal of the fallopian tube in premenopausal and postmenopausal woman can reduce the lifetime risk of ovarian cancer.
