Abstract

Background: Endometriosis is a benign disease that has the potential for agressive tissue-invasion. Endometriosis and pelvic floor disorders (PFD) share common pathogenic mechanisms, but it is unknown whether endometriosis can cause them to develop or induce worsening PFD, including lower urinary tract symptoms, fecal incontinence and constipation. This study aimed to clarify the prevalence of symptoms of PFD in women with endometriosis.
