Abstract

Aims: Adverse drug reactions are usually dose dependent and can be influenced by patient characteristics including age and gender and these confounding factors should be considered in clinical practice and in the interpretation of research data. This study was planned to evaluate the profile of adverse drug reactions among patients receiving antipsychotic drugs in a tertiary care hospital and to assess the severity of adverse drug reactions. Methods: It was a hospital-based cross-sectional study, conducted in Department of Psychiatry in a tertiary care hospital. An assessment of severity was done using modified Hartwig and Siegel scale.
