Abstract

Poxy resin wastewater contained highly COD and toxic organic compound. The application of Fenton reagents oxidation and iron-carbon micro-electrolysis for elimination of organic compound in aqueous solution were investigated separately. The degradation of COD in aqueous solution by Fenton's reagent was studied. After 75 min, the UV254 value drop from 0.92 to 0.35. The 79% removal of COD in water (pH=4, T=70°C) was achieved when the concentration of H 2 O 2 is 80mL/L, and the H 2 O 2 /Fe2+ ratio at 0.0076. In iron-carbon micro-electrolysis process, the UV254 value drop from 0.87 to 0.05. The 78% removal of COD in water (pH=3.0, T=30°C) was achieved After 75 min, when the ratio of Fe/ wastewater and Fe/C at 0.1 and 0.667 respectly.
