Abstract

Recently, the zonal free element method (ZFREM) is proposed to solve thermal and mechanical problems. In this paper, we developed a novel method for the conjugate heat transfer in fluid and solid based on ZFREM. The proposed method solves velocity and pressure FFIGsimultaneously and significantly promotes the convergency characteristics. Using the proposed method, we solved the natural convection and forced heat transfer problems in the fluid-solid interaction systems. The results computed with the proposed method are examined by the available results in literature and experiments. The numerical examples illustrate that the proposed method is efficient and robust.
