Abstract
The variation of static head along a lateral duct was investigated. A theory was developed to predict the static head in a lateral duct of constant cross-section discharging air uniformly along its length. This theory has been used to suggest a design method for achieving uniform distribution of air from a standard lateral air duct of the wire mesh type.
