Abstract

Abstract The trap parameters monitored by SCLC in anthracene crystals under pressure (p) up to 0.5 GPa are determined and the results discussed in terms of isotropic compressibility of molecular crystals. The predicted monotonic increase in the trap concentration (H) and energy distribution parameter (1) with pressure disagrees with the experimental results which show minimum and maximum, for H and 1 respectively, at p ≃ 0.2 GPa. Possible reasons for the disagreement are suggested.
