Abstract
The 19F NMR spin-lattice relaxation time in the rotating frame, TP 1 ϱ , was measured as a function of pressure and temperature for polycrystalline cubic (NH 4) 2SiF 6 for pressures up to 230 MPa. The T 1 ϱ data were analyzed in terms of the molecular reorientation of the SiF 6 2- ions. The reorientational activation volume was found to be (12.4 ± 0.2) cm 3 mol − which is 13.9% of the molar volume.
