Abstract
Hello, and welcome to the 2nd Quarter 2017 issue of the IEEE EMC Society Magazine. By the time you read this magazine in your home or office, the Washington DC Symposium on EMC, Signal and Power Integrity will be upon us. You might have noticed that this year we introduced some changes to our annual symposium. It is the first time we have used an extended name for the symposium. The EMC Society Board of Directors has been in discussion on this for some time. Finally, we decided to give a clear message to colleagues who are working on signal and power integrity that their issues are essential parts of our annual symposium. Another motivation has been to provide the signal and power integrity community a home forum to present and discuss their results. The experience of past symposia provided evidence that there was a clear demand for this.
