Abstract
Paresthesia or nerve palsy is a complication of nerve block anesthesia of the lower jaw for dental treatment. The authors report the case of 24-year-old woman who presented with mental nerve paresthesia after nerve block anesthesia prior to root canal treatment in a mandibular second molar. We designed combined treatment consisting of electroacupuncture and Yamamoto new scalp acupuncture, with total recovery of the nerve injury after five treatment sessions.
