Abstract

AbstractOvaries of 1 to 12 day‐old mice contain multilaminar follicles connected by tubular formations of granulosal cells. Conjoined follicles appear to be at synchronized stages of maturation. It is probable that the development of these interfollicular connections, which form during fetal stages of ovarian morphogenesis, is related to the presence of intercellular bridges between primordial germ cells.
