Abstract

In pastures consortium systems with different forage species and legumes, is important to study if theypresent some potential for chemical inhibition between species, to optimize the time and resources for pasturesystem implementation. Thus, the study aimed to make a general approached with relevant information onthe possible allelopathy exerted on some species in others, some allelochemical synthesis relations and theirfuture prospects, with emphasis on the occurrence of allelopathy in cultivated pasture ecosystems.
