Abstract
The increasing number of travellers from the UK has resulted in an increase in travel health-related consultations in a variety of locations. Providers of a travel health service must be competent not only in prescribing, but also in the processes of risk assessment and administering a variety of live and inactivated immunizations. Providers of such a service should ensure they have undertaken appropriate training and are involved with ongoing continuing professional development.
