Prescribing in pregnancy and lactation is not as seamless as prescribing in other groups. There are limited data in the use of newer drugs and most drugs are not licensed in this category. However, this predicament can be overcome by researching in-house and wider studies from previous practice. This article explores, in a simple manner, factors to consider both in pregnancy and lactation.
