Abstract
A novel methodology consisting in a selective palladium cross-coupling reaction starting from (η 5-chlorocyclohexadienyl)Mn(CO) 3 followed by rearomatisation allows the preparation of new cationic (η 6-arene)Mn(CO) 3 complexes, which cannot be obtained directly from the coordination of the corresponding free arenes.
