Abstract

Abstract The internal gelation process was combined with a co-axial capillary microfluidic device to prepare monodisperse ZrO2 ceramic microspheres. Large sized gel microspheres in the range of hundreds of micrometers could be produced with the capillary microfluidic device with co-axial flow structure and the large sized outlet tubing. After drying and sintering, large sized ZrO2 ceramic microspheres (>200 μm) which had good sphericity and narrow size distribution were prepared.
