Abstract

AbstractThe construction of heterojunction is one of the most effective ways to improve the activity of photocatalysts, while in‐situ synthesis technology can provide the most intimate interfacial contact during the preparation of heterojunction. Heterojunction photocatalysts prepared by in‐situ synthesis have shown excellent performance in solar energy conversion and environmental purification. The convenient preparation process is also suitable for large‐scale production. In this review, we summarize the common synthesis methods and characterization techniques for the in‐situ synthesis of heterojunctions, and list the applications of these catalysts in the photocatalytic field. Finally, we discuss the limitations of the current research on in‐situ synthesis and look forward to its great prospects.
