Abstract

Relevance. Personality-developing learning technologies are vital for the effective development of each child, considering their preferences, skills, and character traits. Purpose. To investigate the features of training final-year students to use personality-developing educational technologies for teaching humanities subjects in primary schools. Methodology. The study employed questionnaires, expert assessment, modelling, pedagogical experiments, and mathematical statistics. Results. Future teachers demonstrated a sufficient knowledge level of personality-developing educational technologies but needed more practical classes. A course was developed, comprising 30 sessions: 10 theoretical classes, 10 group study sessions, and 15 practical classes at schools under teacher supervision. A follow-up survey showed the course positively impacted students' attitudes and confidence. Conclusions. The study found that final-year students possess adequate theoretical knowledge of personality-developing educational technologies but require more practical application opportunities. The developed course effectively improved students' confidence and attitudes towards using these technologies in their teaching practice. Keywords: personal qualities; pedagogical practice; approaches to learning; professional skills of a teacher
