Abstract

A chemical coating method to form a core-shell structure was applied to produce ZnO@Ba0.65Bi0.07Sr0.245TiO3(ZnO@BBST) relaxing ferroelectric ceramics with high energy storage density. The ZnO@BBST ceramic grain was refined and the structure is dense. Simultaneously, the relaxor behavior of ZnO@BBST was improved due to the synergistic effect of ZnO shell and internal BBST. Ultimately, under the electric field of 320 kV/cm, a energy storage density of 1.91 J/cm3 and an energy storage efficiency of 82 % are obtained in 2 wt% ZnO@BBST, together with fast discharge characteristics(τ0.9<1.25 μs) and excellent cycle stability (up to 1 × 105 times). ZnO@BBST ceramics have its unique advantages in the field of ceramic capacitors.
