Abstract
It has been revealed that methane conversion on ZSM zeolites in the presence of O2 can yield hydrocarbons having molecules with more than one carbon atom. A dependence of the selectivity of this process on the chemical composition and structure of the zeolites and the pressure of the reaction mixture has been studied and a reaction mechanism for this process is suggested.
