Abstract
The spinel type Li4Ti5O12 was prepared by high temperature solid-state reaction, using metatitanic acid and lithium titanate as raw materials, the influence of calcination temperature and time on the structure of the material was investigated. Li4Ti5O12 was used as raw material, and the carbon coating of Li4Ti5O12 was studied by adding glucose, the effect of temperature and time of the second calcination on the structure of the product was investigated. The structure was characterized by XRD. Selected the product with the highest C content for SEM, TEM, electrochemical performance testing. The results show that the product crystallized at a Li:Ti ratio of 0.85 and calcined at 750–800 °C for 6 h is crystallized and uniformly dispersed. The lithium titanate composite material with good dispersity, particle size of 1–5 μm and carbon content of 0.052% was successfully prepared under the conditions of 25% glucose and calcination at 750 °C for 2 h, the modified lithium titanate has a good charge-discharge capacity of more than 170 mAhg−1.
