Abstract

Blue-black grass-like microstructure film composed of orthorhombic Cu(OH)2 and monoclinic CuO were successfullysynthesized by immersing copper foils in 0.03 M ammonia solution at 15 °C for 36 h. After modified with heptadecafluorodecyltripropoxysilane, the microstructured surface becomes strongly super-hydrophobic with optimum water contact angle of 163.7° and a roll-off angle of ≤ 10°. Moreover, the super-hydrophobic surface exhibited excellent inhibition effect to the copper corrosion and stability in 3.5 wt% NaCl aqueous solution.
